Mobile 3000---kinda pricey @ $145 & @ 72W it's gonna run kinda hot... :D

.2v over the 2.0ghz 2600+... nah I'm thinking the 2600+ is cheaper AND better.

Yeah...me too---that's getting a bit too close to A64 prices (2800 DTR or 2700 DTR). ;)

*EDIT*
Noticed that the default VCore is 1.65V for this chip as well....that's a no brainer...I can run my Mobile 2400 @ 2.2ghz @ 1.65V all day long...prolly @ a lower VCore than that. ;)

what is the point of this new mobile chip if the def. vcore is 1.65? Its like the desktop version on a 3200+ with a slower bus speed....

It's an unlocked 3200+ is all I can figure.

so whos going to be the test subject? 145 bucks im not!! i wonder if this chip oc's nice? i bet that core is the pick of the pick if there ever was a pick!! that chip will probly oc 3 gigs easy? just too damm bad they are asking more then the price of the 3200 bartons.... a price of 100 bucks would have been more like it...

peace perc,

It'd be 1.45v if it was the pick of the pick.

if it was that good it would be worth more than a 3200 Barton... but to me it looks like exactly what Lithan said, an unlocked 3200.

No way am I paying that much for something that will overclock worse than my current proc, IMO... not jus that, i think a lot of boards are starting to max at 2.7GHz anyway... my MOSFET heatsinks are hot to the touch at 2.6GHz after a thorough Prime run... I would hate to melt a MOSFET jus for those few extra MHz.

[EDIT] http://www.overclockers.co.uk have been selling these chips for over a month now
