I finally decided to put the chip in after letting it lie around for a couple of days. Anyway, all the voltages and stuff are in the pic. My temps look really good considering I have no floor fan or anything else on this case. This case on has 2 in's on the front (low CFM) and the only out is the PSU. This case that I am using is totally stock. No tornados or anything. The side of the case is open though. I would like to add that temps may vary a bit more than mine. I am not using Arctic Silver 3 either. Some prototype compound.

In 3D I did fairly well but this score is still about 1,200 points behind my intel with no overclock at all on the card. But hey thats still not too bad for no aircooling and running a terrible memory speed since I'm stuck at 15 multi. So things are looking good for the first run today. This is definately way more exciting than when I got the 2.8 Chip.

So overall IMO this chip is a very good buy at the moment. $200 and puts you close to P4's at about 3.2GHz I'd say. I might have to try another bios for full t-bred support too. I'm thinking about going ahead and pelting the GPU and benching this AMD rig a little eith the CPU still on air. I estimating roughly 17.8K with the same OC on the card as last time. Maybe closer to 18k. If I got the memory up It would be scary how close this would be to my intel.

I'll do some super cooling soon but I don't feel like covering the whole chip in dialectric grease and condensation proofing the board cause this is my 24/7 rig. Right now I got it folding but I'll do some more testing later.

well i bet with that chip unlocked u expect 2.4 or 2.5ghz

You let it lie around a few days???? I HATE YOU!

I don't think personally that its gonna matter if its locked or unlock as my memory isn't whats holding me back. ITs just strictly the cooling at this point. Techinically from OPP's 2200 it is already unlocked anyway. I think that with my liquid cooling 2.5GHz is a safe bet if not higher. I dunno though cause this chip does like a lot of voltage already. This is my first Tbred so I have no idea what to expect. so far so good though. I wanna beat my Intel score so bad.

with such a high multi...i dont think its gonna want high FSB...and i bet lowering the multi to 12 intead of having 15 will give u a better chance at 2.4 or 2.5ghz and yes the 2400+ comes alread unlocked but only the KD7 can take advantage of that

I'm gonna test some xtreme cooling very soon on this chip. I'm running out of voltage that I can actually give the chip though. It seems to be fairly power hungry but it doesn't get all that hot even when I use 2V. Hopefully it will do close to 2.5-2.6 range. I almost have no doubt that it will beat my intel scores or it will be really close. Right now I have another 9700 in the test bed, and I am getting ready to go ahead and v-mod it and put the pelt and the water chiller to use. Might be seeing some new scores from me soon.

I'm useing 2.1 volts on this Xp2200, it handles it well now that I have good contact on the cpu core. I'm sure the 2400,2600s would do the same.

How do i get the vmem to show in MBM ?

I think its just his KD-7. Or that would be my guess.

The Vmem is actually listed as something different in MBM5..either -5v,-12v or something else....you have to relabel it once you find it. It's been so long since I set it up myself I apologize for not being able to be more specific. I also can tell you the AGP and Vio are flip flopped in MBM5.

Thanks Randi :D

The -12V set to the W83697HF Epox 8kha give me the proper VDIMM voltages.

looks like the KD7 doesnt undervolt as much as KX7 does
