i have a scray stick of memory here, its winbond ah-6

it doent want to run at 2-2-2 so i tested it with 2.5-3-3

with 3.25v it runs 186
with 3.15v it runs 190
with 3.05v it runs 185
with 2.95v it runs 170
with 2.85v it runs 170
with 2.75v it runs 180+ (still testing)

WWWTTTTFFF????????

whats going on here???

LOL yea your right WTF...???

hmmn AH-6 ehh, maybe it just needs a good burn-in, and it seems to just hate volts

i started with 3.25v

3.15v hmmmm memory runs faster with less volts hmmm

3.05v hmmm ah alright, 3.15v is the max i should try above that it just ocs worse

2.95v wow, 15mhz drop with 0.1v less? a bit weird for memory that doesnt like too much volts... weird

2.85v hmmm still the same oc???

2.75v wtf????? :wierd:

Hhe... That is freakin wierd...

crank it up to 3.8V and see if it´ll go any higher..:D no it really strange,, maybe it doesnt like high voltage after all... or maybe it´ll like beeing cooled down..?..

btw this could come usefull for future use. http://pub.lorenz.bei.t-online.de/DDRChips/DDR.htm

heh. I saw some AH-8 the other day on a SCSI HDD.

it does 200 mhz primestable with 2.75v...

exactly 200mhz... 0_o

Interesting for sure. Hopefully, after it runs awhile, it'll take more voltage, & OC better as it goes.

have you tried coling it?

Hi Guys,
I get Winbond AH-6 on Friday. Can I give them 3,4V? :stick: And what OC can I hope for?

That's just goddamn wierd, saaya. Maybe it has a "magic" voltage, just a thought.

Can you explain what you mean? :stick:
I only want to know, if the Ram won't die and if I get CL2-2-2-5 @ 166MHz. :stick:

has nothing to do with you, the post :fact: . it simple mean, that saaya's ah-6 go all mad or the mobo. a actually would suppose, that the motherbord has a bug and give more vdimm then it should with 2,75volt.

Is this with 1t too :p:

A 'different' little stick of mem to say the least. 256mb or 512mb?

Hmm, guys, you should study winbond's past a lil more intensely. :D

The AH-6 was the predecessor of our great BH-6 chips, and they were a bit better than everything out these times (micron, nanya, samsung, infineon). A bit later the B-die appeared and was rocking the house

The A-die won't be able to get higher than what you got, Sascha.

Yea.. found some BH-6 on a seagate, and some samsung TC60 on a few.

Considering saaya started this thread back in 06-19-2004, I'm pretty sure he's well over this issue. ;)

Thread moved to Xtreme Bandwidth.

Haha, revving old threads is always fun. Why would you buy AH-6 when you can get BH-5/6 or some nice UTT?

I don't buy them. I borrow them from a friend because my BH-5 is damaged. So I will use them only for a few weeks.
