I want this case (Antec P160)

but since I'm cheap I bought this case. (Ahanix dboX)

http://www.dealsonic.com/ahdbmidtocao2.html

My goal is to have a case that provides the following :

A) Monitor multiple tempatures

B) Have good air flow

C) Cool hard drives

D) Not sound like a hurricane

This Dbox case does all of the following except it has poor air flow. In particular, the front intake is very restricted. Besides the front grill which has a negative impact the major problem is there is virtually no place from which to suck air into the case.

My plans are to fairly simple.

Cut out and enlarge the back grill to hold a 120mm fan. I'll be using the 120 mm fan that comes with the case for the exhaust.

Cut out the front intake grill and on the front plastic bezel drill a good number of holes inline with the front intake fan. I'll be using my Thermaltake 120 mm fan currently serving as a side intake.

Down the road I may add in a side intake if the current plans fall short of the stated goal.

This will be taking place sometime over the next week. If you have any suggestions on what I could possibly do better please let me know.

No question about it - those holes aren't doing much. Even with a 120mm intake its just not moving enough fresh air into the case.

I'm rethinking what to do with this.

Most likely going to just add on a 120mm side intake.

I had the same problem.

Only 1 fan intake in the front and one in the back. I got 2 pretty good 92mm fans for that job and decided to mod the side of my case.

Don't mind the language it's swedish, but it should be pretty straightforward.
I didn't use one but I'd recommend using a HOLE SAW for the job.

So now I have 2 80mm fans blowing on my motherboard and the components around it :toast:

the holes are ok, it's your front bezel that's not ok. think of some creative way to let more air through the bezel without making it look ghetto, hehe.
