Hello, I just got something caught in the condensor fan of my water cooling and one of the blades broke off. Could I use the fan from the evaperator instead (i realize the air goes up instead of horizontal but there still is ait flow). Does anyone have any other ideas? btw its a five blade fan so balancing is gonna be a problem.

Any fan that pushes enough air would worrk I assume...

If it's smaller I don't think so, but it would probably get it done until you could find something better.

i think the better off using the fan on the condensor even with a broken fin, the evap fan actually sucks air through the evap blowing cold air upwars, which is channeled out the fron of the airconditioenr as cold air, unless you take the fan off the evap side and remove the condensor fan then put the evap fan in its place, this might work

or you can carefully remove everything to just have this, put a desk fan on the condensor and mount it on a wooden board, makes it a little lighter, i made this airconditioner into a chillier, it got to -26 deg c with no load in an esky

and in operation.
if using an airconditioner as a chillier, with it in a large res, on pull down it creates a lot of heat, once it chills down it only puts a little amount of heat into the condensor as the chillier aproaches its limit of cooling with current captube and charge.

k, i guess ill have to mount it on a board..... btw the lowest temp i have gotten my antifreeze around -20f, could this be a cause of some kinks i have or is it a normal temp? Thanks! (btw those temps are with a 12can cooler and a 5200btu a/c)

Buy a new fan blade for it.

From whoever sells your brand of A/C.

-20F = -29C

Doesn't sound bad to me.
