According to Newegg's website they should have shipped me the 1024L2 3200+ but they sent me the 2200Mhz 512L2. This is the second time they sent me this processor with this order. I sent the first one back and the second one was the same. Obviously this isn't the one I wanted, but I don't know if I should "demand" the 1024L2 version or demand somesort of refund for the decreased performance?
I'm building this system for my stepdad and he probally wouldn't know the difference but I had bragged on the 1mb L2 when I was trying to sell him on a 64 bit and he's kinda expecting it. I've seen the sticky that shows the difference between the two, but I still don't feel adaquate with making an informed decision about what to do. Or how much to ask for a refund. Newegg isn't listing the 512 version on their website.
Advice needed!
Thanks
