Anyone know the settings in wpcrset/edit to send hlt commands to the proc to cool it down on the Abit KD-7?
Pretty sure its 92=E9 & 95=1E...hopefully someone can confirm that :)

Here,s another thread where halt command is discussed. Link (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=3676&highlight=halt+command)
RoydRage,
I got it from my memory, which is aging too fast... :)

I remember reading in here somewhere (I think MrIcee posted) that if that does not work, to try just the 92=E9.

When I had a Gigabyte mobo setting both registers would make my system freeze, but just setting 92 worked great.
Now all I do is set 92.

Anyone figured Halt out on the KD7 yet? Gonna fire mine up on air tomorrow....Perhaps "fire" was a poor choice of words.:D
Darn, now we really do need a KT400 pcr file :D

I've always wondered... what does the idle help? my cpu's are always folding or always doing seti...
At any rate... would those settings hold up for all kt400 mobos? (i'll test them when i get home tonight on my gigabyte at any rate)

they don't help folding or seti temps unfortunately..... and it should work on a KT400 board, it worked on my KT333 board
