Huh? Psu's don't have compatibility problems. If they are the right format and have enough juice in em then they are always compatible. The reason some PSU's say AMD XP compatable or recommended is to tell you they can run amd xp's whereas a generic 250watt might not be able to.
Did you mean to say CPU? If so... then you'll have to check the mobo manufacturers website.

I used to use AMD recommended PSU Antec 400w PP403x for my P3 Copper 1000E. Ran great. No issues, because there is no compatibility issues.
