I've been planning on grabbing a MSI K8N Platinum and a mobile A64 3000+ for my next upgrade. Since I've read a lot of people not having much luck getting the mobiles to work in desktop motherboards, I decided to e-mail MSI to ask them if the mobiles are supported before I wasted my money. Their response:
All desktop boards from MSI will not support any Mobile processors.
Anyone have a mobile running on this board to prove otherwise? I'm wondering if this is just a "we don't condone doing that so lets just say it doesn't work" kinda thing, or if it actually doesn't work.
