I'm thinking of buying this Hs http://sidewindercomputers.com/therax7.html
with the sunon fan, and arcic alumina for an amd processor either 1600,1700,1800,1900,2000,2100,2200.
(I'm buying Alumina, becuz its electricity safe, and free. In case i spill it on the mobo)

Should i get the sunon fan or the Thermaltake smart fan 2?

Sunon is a better cfm're but no sensor, Thermaltake has dial, and temp sensor. If i buy the TT will it allow me te see temps in Windows?

First here is a thread you should read on Thermal Compounds. Link (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=3190)
Next I have 2 of those hs I am using and have Delta,s with rheostats on both. If your going to be ocing a 2200+ you will need all the cfm you can get. So my advice is a delta or tornado with a rheo so you can adjust the speed as needed. Just my .02c. Good luck.

I have an AX7 with a vantec tornado running @ 7v. Load temps at 1850/1.85v are in the low to mid 40's. With the fan on full bore i go deaf... but the temps drop to the upper 30's lower 40's. :)
The thermaltake will not show you it's temperature reading in windows as far as i know.

On the sunon, or tornado will i be able to check temps in any way? Will the TT sensor work if i plug its sensor into the fan header of the mobo?

You can monitor temps with whatever fan you use. Just install MBM5 and monitor temps with that.

If you know you're going to messy definitely get Arctic Alumina. Give or take, 2 degrees off of performance or dead components. The heatsink is awsome because it's very cheap and yet performs just as good as watercooling without the maitnence and all. As for the fan if you have cash, go for the Vantec Tornado 84 and get a rheostat. If you would like to save some cash the Tt Smart Fan II will just do fine and still do a good job cooling it.

I'm certainly impressed with my AX7:

That's at load with Prime95 Torture Test.

I lapped it but I ran out of AS3. It's cooling at 0.11 C/W (Reported by insocket thermistor BTW), and that's cooling off 87 watts of heat.
