I have been using FAT32 on my drives forever, I run 2x WD 80gb 8mb Cache drives in RAID0 on a highpoint rocketraid 404

I use format C: /z:32 so I get 16k cluster size, and 16k stripes so my performance is optimal and 4x 38gb partitions

I was wondering what most people use? FAT32 or NTFS and if there is any performance difference?

How do you get 16k cluster size in NTFS, and whats the fastest/safest way to convert my drives to NTFS(if it will be faster)

My FAT32 performance looks something like this...will I be able to improve it much with NTFS?

NTFS may be a tad slower in the benchmarks but has better data security features. Its the one I always use. I don't think you would notice the diffference as its not that large.

NTFS doesnt fragment as easily s FAT32 does. I am able to run my NTFS drives for months without serious slowdowns, but with the FAT32 drives I need to always defragment at least once a month.

Fat32 is used by cavemen.
