My new system has a problem. When I boot up into Windows 2000, when it gets to the screen with the windows logo and the little progress bar, it gets stuck about half-way through for about a minute. Could this be a driver problem where windows is trying to find its own drivers for things? I have several devices which windows has already detected but the drivers aren't installed.

Might be a driver or network connection problem.
Did you try booting in safe mode?

I haven't got any netwrk connections on it yet. But, I will try installing all of my driver disks and see if it makes a difference, also, safe mode boots up really quickly and doesnt freeze at all.

Sorry for asking, but does W2k has the boot option "last known good configuration", like XP?
Maybe try booting in safe mode, and uninstall some drivers/programs. Perhaps it works.
