I used all the resources I had available and this is what I came up with. This is sexactly what I ordered, please tell me if im missing any minor thing.

DD RBX CPU Water Block
Dtek JR-120 Performance Radiator w/shroud & 120 Fan
Zerex coolant and distilled water
Swiftech MCP-600 12Volt DC Pump Version 2.0
Crystal Clear Reservoir
Stainless Steel Hose Clamps
ClearFlex 60 Premium 1/2 inch tubing

Im going to start off with just WCing my CPU. If all goes well Ill add the GPU and NB later.

I cant decide if I want to stick all this in my FS020 Lite-on case or make something external. Only problem is I dont have a clue as to what to use to make it look decent.

Opinions please. This is my first wack at WCing and I want to make sure I have everything I need.

TIA

Crystal Clear Res? WTH is that?
Other than that, kick ass choices

I used cardboard for my external but now I'm moving internal.

I wouldn't use one of those if my life depended on it... They leak/break etc. I have seen many of those (actually most resevoirs) go wrong. Just use a t line. My old setup was in an FS-020. Great case.

What he said ^^ It is a little harder to fill and bleed, but after 2 or 3 tries you'll be an old pro. I can fill mine in less than 5 mins now. :toast:

I dont understand how a T line works. If im suppose to use it to bleed wont the water actually come right back out the top if the T?

I also spoke to several people who use and recommend a res.

I WOULD very much like to know how a T-Line works. I'm thinking the same thing KennyC but I dont think it works that way

Btw my resvoir is a acrylic bayres. I have dropped a screwdrive on it, stepped on it, hit it on hard surfaces and still it survives(the edges chippy off though)

Not to be a downer, but after time, the additives in the water (water wetter, anti-freeze, whatever) eat away at the glue that hold those acrylic res's together... they come apart at the seems after a while. Anyway, a t line is just that... you need a tee fitting. The loop goes through the tee fitting, on the top is a tube for you to bleed and fill the loop. Water will NOT spit out of the tee. Here are some pics, maybe they will help, this is with the FS-020 case i used to use.

One question

If I use a T-Line, how will it not leak?
Like is there a thing that prevents the water from comming up the tline?

I think i want to to tline because the res is taking too much room

JC look at the 2nd to last picture... see the cap on the tee line? That is a 1/2" brass barb with threads at the top for a cap, $3 at home depot. Water will NOT come up the tee line.

I prefer copper tube into female barbs with a male plug. Makes filling easier.

Niksub does the Tline HAVE to be on the top, can I leave it on the bottom?

And are you sure the resvoir does that? It's been like 6 months since I had my resvoir. And my resvoir is on the bottom so if leaks, thats the end of my motherboard lol

I have seen all of them fail, that does not mean that yours will, it just means that it could. I personally don't trust them. A tee line does work best if it is the highest part of the loop as air wants to go up.

JC this is not rocket science :D Your temps will be identical to using a res... no better no worse (well maybe a bit better as flow will be better with no res). You MAKE the tee line, all you need is a tee fitting as seen HERE (http://www.dtekcustoms.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=70)

nikhsub1,
I totally setup my FS020 case up exactly like yours. Thanks for the pic BIG help.

Radiator will be here tomorrow and I can leak test the system and hopefully if all goes well I can put my system back together Friday.
