Partitions and XP

Ok Im having some problems with running XP on 2 partitions. I am trying to get 1 partition just to run OS and Benchmark programs the other partition for Games and everyday use. So I set up a partition on my drive made it Logical ok so I installed XP but here is the problem the first one that installed I cant get to it. I see it in My Computer but I cant boot to it. I hit F8 at start up and went OS selection and there was only one to choose from so I cant get to the other one. What am I doing wrong here?

Okay
So you cannot see the Gaming partition you made right?

Then goto control panel > administrative tools > computer management
Then click Disk Management and make sure all space listed there is Paritioned.

go to start then RUN type Mscongig then go to the BOOT.INI tab and under [operating systems] what does it say??

i remember i used to dual boot also and i didnt have to press F8 so you must be something wrong
