the memory bus is different from a 9600pro, its 128bit but its a different style i guess. If some1 could hack a 96XT bios to use the mem bus from the 96P, it should work as long as ur 96P does 500/300.

According to ATI the way the 128-bit memory bus runs on a 9600XT is different than a 9600PRO, it might still work, ill have a 9600PRO to play with (vmodding and flashing) in a few weeks so ill post some results :D
