will i be able to use reg. ECC ram on an ordinarty NF3-250 mobo? iĀ“m asking cause i plan on getting the new Iwill dual opteron barebone later on. Then i will be needin some ECC ram for the opterons.
But for now i need 1gb of ram so instead og getting 1gb of ordinare pc3200/3500 i was thinking if i could get some reg. ECC ram so i wont have to change ram again later on?!
Right now i have an asus k8v dl and planning on getting the new nf3-250 mobo untill i have the cash for the barebone!
So can i use ECC on an ordinary mobo?

Using ECC RAM wouldn't be a problem - Opterons use Registered RAM though, and that won't work in regular Desktop MoBos ...

I think that NF3 250PRO (S940) only supports Registered ECC Ram and NF3 250 (S754) only supports non registered ram.
