if i buy a 2400 and underclock it to about the lowest fsb and multiplier and etc possible, will it run any cooler?
Keep in mind, this is becuz i live in pheonix, arizona. my ambient temps are around 90 F today...

Btw how would i lower it to the max? Unlock? or can i do it from the bios?

Also, if i had a 100 bucks could i buy a water cooling system for a me, thats fairly simple? Anyone got a link?

Btw right now, my xp 2200 runs at about 55C without any overclocking but tbreds are hot anyway. :(

Run it at the lowest voltage that it remains stable at to get coolest temps...also maintain good balanced airflow thru the case. Use some good thermal paste with good cpu to HS contact and the fastest fan your ears can stand..or switch to water. You are not likely to go below your ambient temperature without something more extreme than plain water cooling. You should be able to rig up some kind of watercooling in that price range, but you should shop around for the best components that the $100 budget will buy. You can buy ready made kits in that range, but I doubt they would be better than a good quality HS and fan..like the copper swiftech that I just bought for $45 at newegg and some Shin Etsu G751 Thermal G751-1 Grease available at the
Ajigo-store for$6.

is this a good cheap watercooler kit? I think i dont need anything else and ill just pump ice cold distilled water in it. https://www.overclockershideout.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=o&Product_Code=E&Category_Code=WC

You get what you pay for....good and cheap don't always go together. How long is the ice cold water going to stay ice cold? How are you going to replenish it after it gets hot? I would suggest that you do some homework on watercooling and then piece together your own system rather than buy a cheap kit. I don't think you will be happy with it after you gain some experience with watercooling. Did you notice that you still need to make a homemade tank to go with the kit? If you are set on a cheap watercooling kit, you might look at the Leuftkin technologies kits. Not sure if I spelled it correctly. I don't really suggest that you should go that route, but I guess they are better than the one you linked to and fairly cheap. What kind of results are you expecting to get? I did a quick search for a link so you could get an idea of what they are like, here's the link:

Hope that helps some:D

The z-4 waterblock from that same site works pretty good. I know I have one and MRIcee used one before and recommends it also.
