Dont know I posted this in the right forum, sorry in advance if so.
Anyways, my current problem is that I cannot read my CPU temperature

My NF7 2.0 has a broken motherboard cpu temp sensor, it reads it at -30C and never changes..

I recieved the board from Abit's RMA pool after a PSU taking out my previous NF7 1.0 (heh free upgrade)

Anyways, whats the cheapest solution to finding out what my cpu runs at..

I had set up a friends P4 system once, his Thermaltake Volcano something came with a thin diode to place on the heatsink then plug into the motherboard in the 3 pin connector, could I buy such a setup?
I would also be open to a sensor placed under the heatsink that would link to a small 1 inch LCD that just output temp in C or F... is that possible?
I'd like to get this done with as little money as possible
Thanks

Where could I find a thermal sensor thin enough with small wires to place under the heatsink next to the die or under the cpu thru the pins?

Here's a place to start:

This is a (nearly) free option:

I found this one: http://www.bestbyte.net/Product.cfm?ProductID=1352&CategoryID=8&Keyword=

I just bought it yesterday, I'll report if its accurate or not when it comes.

Well, it came. Its ok, but not great. After it hits 0C is says 111 on the screen and it doesnt move untill its above that. The 2 temp probes on it give the same readings. I was able to make it go up to 60C, but I couldn't find anything else that would produce enough heat that I would be comfortable with putting the probe on. (Solder irons and torches would be way too much)
