Just saw this and thought of the 'cautious' group here hehe :D
Definately something to check out.....

OCworkbench ditty about memory voltage 'golden fingers' (http://www.ocworkbench.com/ocwbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=001613#000001) :D

Just noticed this is in the OC forum already :(

thats a mad add on, not as extreme as voltmodding it to take 3.95 though but definately easier (not on your wallet though when your memory fries)

Those traces are waaaaaay too long. I would bet everyones everclocks would be falling drasticly using that board.

Sorry but the speed of light is way to fast for overclock too "drasticly" fall.

LOL sorry but its not about that. its the cross-talk and extra emi that will affect the signals causing it to be less stable.

Any proof of this? I like to read up on it.

I got 4.0 on my mem. Mobo is Albatron K8X800, mem is OCZ premier series. Max stable - 270 2-2-2-5, max screenshotable - 284 2-2-2-5.

I'm with him on this.

I mean come on, the peeps who made this had to of known there would be a problem if there would be one. I'm sure it will be killer!

Theya are too long, but its not going to make the max clock fall by more than 5-10mhz.

The speed of electricity isnt near the speed of light, btw

Theres a better product comming out anyways, so just wait.

Agreed.

Electrons are not moving thru a conductive material anywhere near 3e8 m/s bud.

I agree that they are to long as well.

I would say that a Vmodded board will outperform that gadget by a good 10mhz or so.

Thanks for everyone backing me up here. I got laughed at on another forum when I posted my comment.

was that a prototype for the ocz one?

looks like it would just be plain sketchy/wobble being tall with a dimm on it

STEvil

no, this one was not related to ocz at all.

Trace length may affect capacitance and crosstalk and may affect your overclock... then again it may not.

I cant say ive ever tried changing trace lengths... but chipset manufacturers have pretty precice tollerances on trace lengths.
