Hi m8. Wondering if you can confirm the following vmods for me before I screw up a brand new board :p.

Board in question is the Soltek SL85-ERV. Ive ID'd what I reckon are the prime candidates for DDR voltage regulation, so ill stick some pics up below with what info ive got and what im guessing ill need to do.

First off the chip I believe is most likely the vmem regulator.

And the info on it.

Now I reckon itll be a VR between Reference and Ground yes? Ive measured the resistance between Pin 3 and Pin 2 as 4.83K, which sounds about right compared to previous vmem mods (usually around the 4.5k VR area). Im not knowledgeable enough about this kind of thing to go diving in without getting some confirmation first though :).

Now onto the second possibility (which I reckon is more likely the 3.3v regulator tbh, but could be wrong).

Now the mod for the above chip would be a VR between FeedBack and Ground yes? The reason I dont think itll be thsi one is because the resistance between FB and GND pins is some 75K - seems far too high. Th eonly explanation I can think of would be that this chip is designed to supply far higher voltages than the 2.5 - 2.8v it would be used for.

Anyway, if you could get back to me either in a PM or on thsi thread with your views Id be most grateful m8 :).

Good morning m8.

I am afraid that the 9173 is for DDR voltage termination and is not the correct chip.

The 9202 is possible. But can you verify that there are MOSFETs nearby with output that correspond to Vmem? If so, you have the right chip.

Its got to be the 9202 then really DD - theres no other IC remotely near the DDR slots that could be it. Its also the only IC on the board with mosfets near it. Im willing to gamble its the one. Was I right before in that itd be a VR between FB and GND?

Jeez just noticed my spelling - long night :).

Correct. Make sure you start with a high resistance(at least 10 times of what you measured).
