Damn Compressor Keeps Turning Off

OKay, now I have built myself a waterchiller and all was well. Then the compressor turned on and off randomly. Then I fixed it by disconnecting the thermostat and just bridging the wires.

Now the thing turns of after about 30 minutes. I don't know why but the compressor is REALLY REALLY hot. The only way to get it to go longer than about 30 minutes is to aim some tornadoes (fans) at the compressor. This is a temporary solution though and I worry that the compressor is getting damaged in the process.

Anyone else had this problem?

if you overcharge the unit a little this can bring the temperature of the compressor down so it doesn’t so the over temperature circuit doesn’t shut it off, a little air blow always helps too
mine does the same thing at the moment, im in the process of fixing it.
just keep in mind that compressors are mean to be around 60deg
