Hey peeps,

I have a few more questions for you. I bought a chiller from gary and also purchased a RBX from AMD and waterblocks for my chipset and VPU (Maze 4). For tubing I ordered 15' of the 1/2" from Dangerden. The pump is a Danger Den DD12V-D4 12v. After getting the pump it said it is ok down to zero for temperature.

I am worried about the temperature that Gary's chiller hits. I am guessing the coolant is going to get around -50c. I am concerned with how this will affect the tubing, pump, and o-ring in the waterblocks.

Anything I should know about?

Thanks!

woah, I wouldn't trust the plastic top of the RBX at these tempereature. And what type is the tubing sold at DDen? Standard vinyl or Tygon or Clearflex???

I did get copper topped water blocks.

The tube is tyogon.

Tygon is rated for down to -47°F wich is -45°C, so you should be fine, depends how cold the chiller run under load.
As for the pump, the only thing I know about it is that it is noisy, what you have to look for is the o-ring material use for the pump. IF the o-ring can survive low temp, then the pump should be ok.
If the o-ring of your block is giving you problem, braze it! :P

Tygon is rated down to -100F which is -73C

no, not all kind of Tygon are rated for -100°F. Tygon sold at McMaster, for example, is rate for -47°F and I really doubt DDen is selling the higher grade (-100°F) one. (See page 83 of www.mcmaster.com for Tygon tubing)
