I don't think it's possible to download a website unless using a ftp client and have ftp ascess to the site

I disagree with Fugger and Attitudx. There is no program that can download websites, That poses a security threat.

Imagine me downloading www.newegg.com and checking out the code.
However there is a way to save the html files though by opening them with the browser and clicking save as.

You can only view the html part in the code. Any serverside code you will not see. You can download the pages and the images yes, but there are certain things you cannot download. Like databases, https secure folders and files etc.

He isnt asking to download databases, https or secure stuff john. Just download the whole site and be able to use it offline.

I've used them for years.

There are many, again google is your friend. Takes 10 seconds to check before you answer.

I like this one.

and a bigger version

Try it John. Leach all of XS from their front page then unplug your internet connection. It will take a while of course depending on how big the site is.

I did not say it would not take a while. Website leechers are popular with people that want to download the whole :banana::banana::banana: site they subscribe to.

Some leechers really go far and download everything in the links to other websites to and their content.

I've got 1.2 terabytes about of storage here @ my house. Im hopeing one day to just download the whole internet!!!:D
