ThereĀ“s more in the bag though, i just dont understand how to tweak this radeon. What do you guys use, Rage 3d, Powerstrip or even Rivatuner?
How much can this card clock out of the box? I have a waterblock on it so i might be able to get some more MHZ out of it.
Any Direct 3D tweaks and where?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mac
mackanz,
Nice score :)
If I knew(or cared to know, for that matter, lol) a thing about ATi cards, I would offer some advice....but I'll leave that to the pros :D

Powerstrip seems to be the chosen one so far mackanz however so far the only thing i have done with it is the obvious disables and used it to set the clocks on the card

Nice score, mac. Check out the sticky on the R9700 for the latest info on tweakin' that bad boy. I'm kinda with [N8], after the nightmare I had with 2 R8500's just tryin' to get them to run out of the box, I will never touch another ATi card.

d00d...
Powerstrip for asjustin clocks, Rage3DTweak for tweakin drivers... Radeonator latest ver should do some good, but I tend to stick with R3DTweak myself.... now, can someone tell me what software gives you the option to tweak LOD on a GF4 that has a "7" setting cos all the software I've got shows -3 to +3!!

Use Riva Tuner and go to power user and expand the Detonator/Global tab and then you will see LODBiasRange, double click it and then you can set the max and min LOD to whatever you want. I usually just set it to 15 and then you can choose -15 to +15 in the D3D tab. Hope that helps you, Marci.
