Thoughts on the new toca?

I think its the best racing rim ever, atm in front of the geoff crammond classics (gp4)
CMR4 stinks imo...

Any online players post in here and i will add your name to my friends list... would be nice to race a fellow member me thinks..

Or maybe even post your lap times and cars for certain tracks?

The game is very awesome and I agree that cmr4 is not what I hoped it would be. Great physics and online with very little to no lag is very very fun. One of the better ones out there if your into the kind of racing it offers.

Best racing sim ever?

You really think its better than GT3 and the upcoming GT4?

If its THAT good it really must be something...GT3 has been #1 for a long time...

Bought the game yesterday.
Can't get it work.
Installs without any problems, setup display settings, games starts up. But as soon as I wanna race, it goes back to the desktop, no warnings, errors or so.
Videocard is 9800XT. I tried several drivers, settings, but still no luck.
All my other games work without any problems, this one not.

On my son's PC, with a 5900 @ 5950, it works without any problems.
Strange.

I tried that, still nothing.
Even uninstalling the game and reinstalling it doesn't help.
Crap.

Jupiler try these, ideas from other forums...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Try to disable the high definition reflexions/textures in the setup...this worked on my pc...

did you have clone cd or alchool installed?

Try to unplug any virtual device.

The new copy protection is crap for many users

Try directx 9b reinstalation.

Its work for me..

remove the demo if its installed..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would think reading the forums its a driver issue, mayeb going back a few versions would help?

Just tried it on my new AMD rig (with a 9800PRO), and it works fine, using Cat. 4.4 drivers.
Guess I'm gonna do a fresh reinstall of XP on my Intel rig. For the past days, it has been acting strangely anyway.
Fresh install every 2-3 months can't harm anyway. :)

BTW : DF uploads are working again. Uploaded 725 buffered gens on AMD rig. :toast:
