My Leadtek Ti4400 died on me yesterday. I don't know what happened. I removed an old 486 cooler from the core and those thermtake ramsinks. Cleaned everything and put the original cooler block back.
Put the card back in but no response, only 3 beeps at startup. Checked the card, reseated it a dozen of times. No go. tried 3 other boards, same result. Card was dead.
Can't see anything that was broken on the card, very weird.
Too bad, it was a screamer. Did 312-315/720, sometimes 729. Not to bad for a 4400.
RMA'ed it today, will have to wait 3-4 weeks before getting a new one.
Hope that the next one will be as good as this one was.
Right now, I'm working on a ASUS 4400 which only does 310/675 before artifacts start showing up. With the Leadtek, artifacts started only around 718-720 Mhz.
The ASUS card is sold, gonna mail it tomorrow or so.
I'll have to beg someone for a new card :):) JC??
Here's my last score with the card, benchmark was run a couple of days ago but only posted it today, in remembrance of my fine Leadtek.
Still NĀ°2 overall.

Sorry to hear about that, Jupiler.

Thx m8 ;)
I hope the new one will be as good as the old one. We'll see.
But I'll need to buy a new card tomorrow or so, because the ASUS is gonna get shipped tomorrow. Maybe an expensive 9700 or a cheap 4200, quite a difference haha.

You may be surprised with some of these lil 4200's. Many are rather impressive :)

Yeah, I've seen many results from those cards. Very impressive scores. The core on those cards seems to go very high, higher than the 4400 cards. Do the 4200's have the A3 stepping or the normal A2 ones?

Some have had the A2...the (3) that I've owned were all A3. I'd guess that if you bought 1 today, that you'd have terrible luck to receive an A2. :)

ROFLMAO.
You can pat me on the back but no caresses nor molesting. Don't even think about it. :)
I ordered the Gigabyte Maya II 9700. Will have it by friday. I hope it overclocks as good as those Powercolor cards.
