My monitor gets TOO HOT!!! It's a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 765MB working at 1024x768@100Hz.
I can hardly toutch it!
What can i do?

You can buy one of those lame monitor fans. Or just direct a boxfan on it. Do you have anything above the monitor to hold in the heat? Like the monitor enclosure for your desk.

Mod the sucker... Just make shure the fan u use is ball bearing, bush-bearing put out a lot of EMI

My old monitor used to get EXTREMELY hot as well. If you touched it, the plastic would feel kinda sticky, and you would get a nasty blister from it! It turned out to be a power problem. It also made a nasty buzzing nooise if you listened closely. It turned out to be a transformer problem or summin. Dunno.

Thats bad man. You should return you monitor. Just imho.

I scrapped it ages ago and got a nice cosy Diamond Max 22"! :D

yea my nec multisync fe991sb make a SLIGHT noise as well and it is warm (since i never shut the sucker off)... should i be worried?

He can use a "Bordfläkt"(Swedish donno the english word but tablefan maybe) .... ;P
