I'm an AMD guy but my buddy is interested in a Soltek SL-85MR2-L motherboard and a P4 2Ghz.

I'm not too up on the P4 northwoods. I just like to know where the sweet spot is price/performance on the P4. Also do the 400mhz P4's overclock easily using 133 or 166mhz FSB?

Thanks for the info.

If ya wanna OC, get the 533 FSB P4 - They have lower multiplier and therefore allow ya to get higher FSBs.

Try looking @ the 2.26B and 2.4B, the 2.0A isnt particularly a good overclocker in general. As for the mobo, the soltek prob isnt really a viable overclocking option, I'd be looking @ the Abit I845e boards (BD7II, IT7, IT7MAX2)

Tomshardware recommended the Soltek... is he steering the readers wrong?
