Nice!!!! :toast:

Does look a little like the DD RBX. What are its dimenisions? (cos de RBX doesnt cover the entire shim)

Like the name in the top, nice touch!! :)

it took my like 2 hours to write it down , using only straight lines >_<

the block is 45x70 , the mounting should fit EVRY board existing right now :)
im only afraid the cover will be too big to fit small boards like the socket A , when my mobo will come back from RMA ill test it over ...

the channels are 1.5 mm , it covers 36x18mm , it will fit any DIE and some future DIes aswell ..

it took like 10 versions to get it to perfection :P

the cover will be from somm clear plastic .. PVC or perspecs , not sure right now ..

im planing on drilling lil holes on the sides of the cover and insert leds there , giving it cool blue look and the light will break over at the text :)

plexi?? nooooooooooooooooooooooo....

don't go for the clear-topped LED gimmick nonsense --- be a pimp and make that sucker out of solid copper. :D

lol

it will make the cost too expensive ... could be nice for water chilling though .. :)

To be perfectly honest, I doubt it will perform too well. Better than a maze, worse than a WW. Looks like an RBX without jet and with less/larger Channels.

And I also gotta say no to plexi top. Plexi is cheap because it's crap. Just say nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Copper's the way to go, and on such a simple piece as the top shouldn't cost more than an extra 10-20$.

yeah go copper al the way!

might be a bit ambitious but maybe you could create channels on the top too... then it'll preform even better, more turbulence and surface area. :slobber:

and why dont you try to make one of them jets to create more turbulence, dunno how exactly but it would be nice.

it'll be the(my) ultimate waterblock

(or you could just keep it simple and add a tec)

well , im not sure about the RBX , but the channels here are 1.5mm.
about the jets , i figured that it isnt realy nessery since the channels walls are pritty big comparing to the channels which makes pressure on the intake hose, this preforms verywell in the same way as the "jets" , just that it will be in the shape of the channels instade of rounded holes.

making jets injectors like in the cascade lets say is realy easy thing to do , but i just cant see how it will benifit in this praticular design ...

on the copper top option ... ill think about it , might be ...

and channels on the cover wont give you anything h0ok3r , the heat berly gets there

sstill waiting for my godamn nf7-s to come back :brick:

the machining time would up the cost but the copper itself isn't that expensive for the top plate.
examples:
2" x 3" x .25" copper bar - $4.23
2" x 3" x .5" copper bar - $8.01

yeah thats what i ment , the overall cost of the cover .. :)
im not sure also that its possible to write down the icecube text on coppper , some of thouse are 0.5mm width..

and clear top looks cooler then copper >_<
