Hi again,

We just finished our first test session with Hercules 3DProphet Radeon 9700 Pro and everything runs smoothly when GPU is running at 500MHz and memory 405MHz.

Tomorrow it's time to cool CPU down.

Enjoy!

Man that's one of the cleanest looking volt mods I've seen
I take it you're going to show us some marks m8 :)

Wrong alert.

Graphics card works FINE with default clocks (325MHz/310MHz). Just ran 3DMark2001SE all tests and played UT2003 about 30 mins.

GPU can still hit 500MHz but there is something REALLY wrong in DDR-memory. It cannot go above 355MHz anymore with LN2-cooling and 2,98V voltage, same thing with default voltage.

LN2 + 2,98V + 405MHz wasn't very good combination.

BTW, after we removed the default cooling and when trying to put it back, the R300 core won't take contact to heatsink anymore. Anyone else have had same problem?

I guess shim has to be taken off permantely.

3.jpg is a classic :D Blue and icy.

You have to wonder if, at these temperatures, superconductive effects are starting to make an appearance and the reduced resistance and therefore increased current might be starting to effect the RAM / GPU, or at least pick out any flaws in it.

Cooling aids normally, but is it getting to the point where it starts to be detrimental to the voltage / current / resistance / thermal properties of the object being measured ?
