Sorry if this doesn't belong here. Dun see any software area..

Anyway. I'm really stressed. Outlook Express just hangs when opening emails. It doesn't freeze, or crash. It just 'loads' endlessly, and never displays ANY email.

I've reinstalled OE and IE6, problem continues. I've cleaned the registry, problem continues. Basically, i'm lost.

And before you post, DO NOT suggest getting another client, PERIOD. It will only annoy me, as it's not an option, at all, period.

Have you disabled or uninstalled windows messenger by any chance?

I had problems like that (as well as OE taking aaages to load) and realised that I'd disabled it in gpedit.msc

Only thing I can think of...

Mcafee SpamKiller was the cause of the same problem on my machine, took 5 minutes to load Outlook and check mail, as opposed to it's usual couple of seconds.

Of course, if you don't actually run Mcafee SpamKiller, who knows? :)

Nope, it's not either of those problems. I've had them before. This is different.

Outlook loads just fine. But it can't read emails! It just 'forgot' how to open an email.

Everything else works fine.
