why do i get "operation has timed" out so much?

what causes that? i just went from a 3ft CAT5 cable to ~15-20ft CAT5 cable. could that be the problem?

No, that dosen't matter as signals travel the light of speed through wires.
Try using a different browser and surf microsoft or msn websites and see if you get "operation time out errors". If you do, then you could have a connection trouble because Microsoft and MSN sites are rarely down.

yeah, ive tried oogles of different browsers, even installing a repeater/hub between the router and my comp. ive visted dozens of websites. seems like only the real fancy ones are timing out on me.

and this problem is only on my computer, none of the other 5 comps on the LAN experience this.
