Use this link (http://www.ec.kingston.com/shop/partsinfo.asp?promo=boost&ktcpartno=KHX3000K2/1G) to get the price. The url has "promo=boost" in it to get the discount. Other HyperX is also discounted with this promo.
I ordered mine Monday and will have it tomorrow. I hope it does well. Kingston says they will take it back within 30 days and give me a full refund if I'm not satisfied for any reason at all.
Edit: this promo is from last December. I don't know why it still works, but it does.

Has anyone received this yet to know if it is bh-5 or not?

In this thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=411272#post411272) Namtaru said, "After about a week of burn in i can run mine at 240FSB 2-2-2-11 with no errors in memtest."
He didn't pull off the heatspreaders.
I get mine today and I'll post results.

Well, I went ahead and ordered some, not sure when it will get here. I'll post results as well. Thx for the info Pelikan

So far these sticks are not doing nearly as well as my 2 x 256 KHX 3200 with BH-5 which does 230 at 2-2-2-x and 2.9V.
This 2 x 512 KHX3000 keeps failing prime95. I'm down to 216 FSB now, 2-2-2-7, 2.9V. I may have to return these.

Fed Ex says I should get my ram today, so hopefully I'll be able to post some results tonight. Sorry to hear about your luck on those Pelikan. Have you looked under the ramsinks to see what you have?

You also might want to give them more voltage before you make a final decision on them. I have my mobo and 3v rail vmodded so I'll tell you what it does with more voltage when I get 'em.

Alright, just ran some quick tests by looping test 5 on memtest. It seems that I am stable at 215fsb 5,2,2,2. It won't post at 220fsb. I run a default voltage of 3.0 and was stable at that voltage. When increasing in increments of .1v all the way up to 3.4v, I still can't post at 220fsb.

I think the issue may have something to do with my nf7-s. I have 2 sets of 2x256 bh-5 and they both only run 225fsb stable. I have been sure this board has a bh-5 issue, but I'm still not sure if this new hyx3000 is bh-5. Clearly though, I have a 10fsb drop from the 2x256 I was running previously.

I haven't tried relaxed timings. Actually I tried 5,2,2,2.5 once but it didn't post at 220.

Hopefully more will post their results. I'm very tempted to try a DFI board.

Nice deal pelikan, keep us updated how it clocks when you get yours. it could end up being BH6 instead of 5, but either way it's great memory for the price.

My gig of this stuff did not work out. Even though I don't believe that burning in works, I ran this memory at 3V under memtest86 for three days straight. That didn't help. It still maxes out at 200 MHz, 2-2-2-x.
I tried a ton of FSB, timing and voltage combos, and after a couple hours my system wouldn't boot with this memory. I got a boot disk error. So I put my 2 x 256 KHX3200 BH-5 in there and everything works fine again. I think either I killed the KHX3000 (unlikely with only 3V) or it needs ras to cas 3, which I'm not willing to do.
Edit: the memory still works, the boot error was from a semi-corrupt bios.

thats weird :stick:

When i forst got mine i couldn't post over 220 at 3v

eventually i took off the heat spreaders and can run it at 241 fsb 2-2-2-11 @ 3.3v stable

too bad your sticks didn't work out :(

Yeah, maybe I should try another set...

to those people who say "It doesnt clock as well as my 2x256 blah blah blah..." I can only say 'Duh', or maybe, 'Welcome to my world'. I've had a hell of a time breaking 233 with 2 512 sticks. Frankly I'm more inclined to blame the motherboard than the ram. Meanwhile everyone and their mother running 256 sticks is getting 5bijillion megahertz fsb. But when server needs come a-calling... MWAHAHAHA.

let's see what I've had.

5 or 6 khx3000 Best did 240ish 5-2-2-2 at 3.0v or so, worst did 220ish right around there
2 mushkin pc3500 black level 2 (WONT DO STOCK SETTINGS) but at around 2.8v they start working. I've hit 245ish at 3.3v, 233 at 3.0v 5-2-2-2 This is dual channel, havent tested these sticks single channel yet.

And I've had about 8 sticks of ch5. Have 2 sticks of it right now I've been meaning to push around a little.

You guys might be having problems with heat at voltages over 3.2v or so, or maybe even lower. Pulling of the heatspreader on my 2x256mb kit of khx 3200 bh-5 made such an unbelievable difference. It was unable to run above 220 2-2-2-5 at any voltage initially, but after I pulled of the heatspreader I was able to do ddr520 2-2-2-5 with 3.22v, and they probably don't even need the little fan that I have blowing across them.

Keep in mind pulling of the heat spreader does void the warranty, so if you want to return them for whatever reason, you might not wanna do this.

ps...robert esche just made a huge save to keep game 4 of the eastern conference quarterfinal game at 2-0 flyers! Go flyers!
