Im running 228mhz 1:1 ATM with 2x512 pc3500re ECC corsair at 2-3-2-6 "can do 2-2-2-6 but I need more voltage as after a few runs of 3dmark it gen. errors"

question Is the chipset is red hot after 15min so I was wondering If added cooling to the chipset would It turn a profet for stabilty at higher FSB speeds and gains with future higher overclocking of the fsb?

I hear alot say A64/fx51 chipset cooling isnt important.

thanks
Paul

I tested my new SK8V last week with stock cooler and paste.
I reached 255FSB stable.
I use to do 256FSB stable when useing pelted NB cooling, 256 is the limit for my Graphics card, this was on old mobo.

I have since put on a Swifty 159 NB cooler but have yet to test it. I did it because I'm thinking it will get me the xxtra 1Mhz and add stability, but it's yet be tested.

your ram will do 2-2-2-5 stable but you gotta leave everything on "auto" except for tRCD and maybe tRAS if you want tighter than "8". and 3.25v-3.3V is enough for VIA upto 250fsb+ like OPP said. On NF3, 3.6V should yeild over 260fsb+ rock stable.

Whats up Quad? yeah I didn't think about tras to 8-11. It seems to work wonders on NF3 why not VIA right :). Im going to have to sit down and voltage mod this board today and push it somemore. :)
