How many times a week/month do you defrag your HD?

I try defrag at least twice a month!

as you use your computer and save files and delete them - the space they use to store the files become separated or DEFRAGMENTED

As this happens it starts to take your computer longer amounts of times to find the files that have been broken up... to recover this lost speed you need to run the defrag utility in your windows, just go to your start button --- programs --- accessories --- systems tools Inside there you will see the defrag tool just double click it and let it do what it needs to - it will take some time so plan accordingly because it can teake up to several hours.

O&O Defrag uses the Windows 2000 management console and is a more thorough defrag program than the default one supplied with Windows 2000.
