My motherboard is ASUS p4p800 Deluxe and the nb is passively cooled. When gaming, it reached temperatures of 50 celcius on full load. So I attached the old amd stock fan of a pally 2000+ to it using teflon tape. It worked fine until it fell on my video card(it fell on my video card over 5 times and my video card still survives :))

Now when I attach the fan back with teflon tape, it starts vibrating or something and starts making noise. The fan also feels to spin faster than it used to. Any solution to this?

U really dont do yourself any favours posting things like this...

There are lots of ways to attach a hs.
Glue comes to mind...
Or u could try to search it:

Sounds like the fan is damaged to some degree. If even a small chip is missing from a blade the fan will be unbalanced and vibrate.

is the fan actually missing a blade?

you know, by adding the glue you will be unbalancing the fan, and it'll still vibrate.

The fan is missing a blade, It started spinning rapidly faster than when it used to have the blade.
I added glue, 10 minutes later it falls on my video card for a total of 6 times

But I think i solved the problem. I had 2 rear Silent TT fans exhausting out of the case. Since I use watercooling, I made the intake cool air inside of the case. Now the temp has decreased to 34 celcius idle, not sure about load.

i'm suprised that you didn't mention that the fan was missing a blade earlier.

if it keeps falling in your video card, shouldn you secure it better? zip ties always do the trick for me. or at least dab super glue in the corners and put AS3/5 in the middle.

Should Have done that, But not since I reversed the Exhaust fans to Intake fans, the temperature has been under 40 celcius on Full Load so it's all good. :)
