No thermal interface on my KX7 northbridge at all!!

lol, I just started getting freezing and lockups for no reason and the 200mhz fsb was far from even being close to stable. so today I tore the PC apart and decided to add AS3 to the northbridge, then I was shocked at what i saw nothing at all, lol. well after adding AS3 and a new zalman alumi. northbridge cooler Im glad to say that Im on my second hour of prime95 at 200mhz fsb with fastest timings and cpu at 1900mhz (1600+ agoia-y 0213 new cpu :p ) and have yet to have any issues at all... check your northbridge..

My KX7 also had VERY little thermal grease, as did my friends. :\ Geuss they're just skimping on it.

qwerty wots ur nb temp reading now in mbm? mines always been about 33c on a cold day getting up to 37 on a hot day and thats with the case wide open. Thats with stock fan and AS3. Was wondering if that might be a bit hot and hold back the fsb, got 2x256 samsung dtl that wont go over about 188 cas2 3/6/3 1t, enhance on.

and what was the nb temp when u had no paste on it?

the board sensor isn't on the northbridge as far as I know and my system or board temps stayed the same... Im rmaing the mobo now becasue of issues...

I just RMA'd my KX7 333R, became toast with only three days of folding with only 166fsb, hope this was just a weak board, and not the norm.
