well about a *cough* month or 2 ago, i promised some pix of my project, never really got round to it, so here they are now below. Gimme some feedback bout wot u think :) (pix in random order, sry if they r big or wotever)

Original thread was: http://www.xtremesystems.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30712

The parts used in this project can be found in my sig :)

http://server6.uploadit.org/files/selffers-PCPIC00010.jpg

i built this back piece support thingy for on the back of my MCW-50-T (for anti-condesation an to help support it better: stop cardm bending)

http://server6.uploadit.org/files/selffers-PCPIC00009.jpg

the cable ties here are anti-kink measures that i had to take with this crap swiftech tubing.

some more of the finished project: ;)

http://server6.uploadit.org/files/selffers-PCPIC00012.jpg

my res. that fits perfectly into my limited-space case :D
BIG downpoint here ...is that it uses 8mm tubing   ...but once i get round to it, im gonna mod it, drill a hole, thread it with 1/4" thread and put in some 1/2" barbs. (so it can use 1/2" tubing).

my finished 9800 pro:

http://server6.uploadit.org/files/selffers-PIC00013.jpg

Before with stock cooling it did a maximum OC of 435/371 core/mem benchable (with tweakmonster ram-sinks)

With my MCW50-T 80w pelt is does a maximum OC of 473/405 core/mem benchable (also with ram-sinks).

NOTE: no volt mods or anything have been done to it.
Temps can be found in part I of this project, since i can't be bothered digging them out again :) ...but atm temps are just under ambient at 18 C (read off my case temp probe) ...at night when i open the windows last night, it hit around 5 C. Once i get 1/2" tubing on everything and a 2nd fan on my BIX, i hope to get better temps :)
pls give ur comments or more improvements

are those zip ties to prevent the tubing from kinking up?

Very nice :D Your case is almost as crowded as mine!

thx boys! I'll take that beer :D
Çhrist0ph: (as said above) ...those zip-ties are indeed to prevent kinking.

Great system you got going there dude!
Some serious dough went into it :)

Suggestions:

1. use dielectric grease where neoprene makes contact with cards pcb on GPU's side.

2. Use bigger backplate clamp to hold down back of the card insulation. As it is now it will cause coundenstion forming (depending on your local climat=humidity-to-temp ratio)

This is what happens if you fudge back of the card insulation m8 :)
Luckily my baby was coated with conformal coating but still it caused card to malfunction...

yeah, with my external wc setup, i opened it yesterday to put in some dye...and found the biggest, nastiest, most terribly flow restricting kink EVAR.

there was like 1/8" of space for water to flow through, but a heavy duty office clip solved that problem:)

Jabo: i need an EVEN bigger hold down plate? ...u gotta be kiddin. I thought i was already being over kill :p: ...but that pic does look nasty! I am using di-electric grease tho :) (silicone greese to be precise).

Hmmm, I was considering getting the Swiftech MCW50-T for my 9800 Pro but every place I looked it said it fit up to Radeon 9700 boards. If you already mentioned this above I apologize for asking, but, did you have to mod anything to get the block to fit your 9800 pro? I know you added the back piece for condensation, but did it fit ok otherwise?

ignore those swiftech fools ...it fits perfectly on the 9800 pro without ANY mods. And will work fine without the bracket i made (i just made it to prevent any danger of condensation, since the pad u get with it normally is not good long term).

Cool, thanks for the reply. That's what I love about these forums, just ask and you eliminate your doubts so you know exactly what you will be getting. Thanks again. :D

Is that a heatsink on your Audigy (first pic)? Wow. Getting a little carried away?

indeed it is a heatsink ;) i put an identical one like that onto the SB too, theres even a fan that screws onto them ...but i took them off both since that was a bit too much overkill :D
