Hit compusa for the first time in 2 years.
I bought 2 Maxtor 7200rpm 200gig 8mb cache HD.s for $129 no rebates out the door.
Also 2 Seagate 40 gigs $49 out the door with a $20 rebate so $29.95.
And for my main rig I picked up 2 seagate 160 gig SATA drives.
$149 out the door with a $50 rebate on each one. I had to check out twice since on rebate per household.
Sad thing is on my Seagate Raid 0 love i had planed tonight. One of the 160's was bad, wont even spin.
I benched the other using HD tach, and i actually got better numbers than a single 37gig Raptor, 50.5 average for a raptor, and 52mbs for the SATA seagate.
Im currently waiting on a ADVANCE RMA on my western dig Raptor, that i gave them my CC number to ship right away, and it's been 2 weeks.
I've RMA'd 12 WD drives in the last 6 months between mine and customers, I will never buy another WD drive as long as i live!!!
And i'll probably sell the Replacement 74 gig raptor soon as i get it back from RMA.
