Garanteed commerically available DDR yes, fastest DDR to date, no. Until one of the regulars here, or a review shows up, Winbond 5ns Rev B holds the crown :)

Not that its much use being faster then 220mhz on an AMD system :(

I might want to inform you that the new Mushkin PC2700 Level 2 rated cl2 2-5-2 1T is even better than the Winbond 5ns in my AMD rig

I have absolutly no idea, I know their Level2 is brand spanking new. I have a stick it performs great (much better then their PC3200) And i don't want to screw it up by getting those heatspreaders of.

Mushkin makes its own PCB for shure, don't know about the chips.
Doubt that it's samsung.

Heck I don't care, But it beats a original Samsung stick with CTL chips I had. Wich was beaten by Winbond 5ns and now that Winbond gets it from the Mushkin. Not by much but it beats it ;)

In the quest for optimal performance every mhz @Max. timings and settings makes a differance on an AMD rig

And I just ordered a stick of xtreme corsair 3200 cas2

I can vouch and say the pc3200c2 corsair rocks hitting 207mhz at 2,2,2,5,1 with enhanced and fast decode on my rig tho it needs 3.05v but it still rocks. But for me anything over 190mhz at fastest settings is a work of art :p ..

Corsair C2 did between Samsung and Winbond 5ns on my rig.

That sucks arse. Of the 4 TwinMOS sticks i had shipped to me, all did 215 aggressive settings @ 2.85v, and three of them did 220.

Entuscan, My CTL samsung did 2-4-2-5-2-1CMD rate-Fast CPU Decode up to 195mhz. What Mushkin has is nothing new.

215 at 2.85v at 2,2,2,5,1 4way 4q using fast decode and enhanced on the kx7-333 or at7?? Ok if ya say so you must get the best PC parts in the whole world :)

Wel overhere Samsung did 198 with most agressive timings
The Mushkin does better at 202 In my Old KR7A with only a /4 divider

Samsung did 198, Corsair C2 did 200, Winbond 5ns 201 and Mushkin 202

But my board is getting maxed out with only a /4 divider

That PC2700 rated 222 from mushkin is deffintly new (about 2weeks out) But don't know about the chips on it, can't say due to heatspreader.

Thanks guys,

Looks like the Corsair XMS3200cas2 I just ordered will be ok on my heavily modded Abit KX7 then. If I hit at least 200FSB with tight timings..I will be happy!:D

I have tried Corsair cas2 v 2.1 for some time. It goes 226 cas 2.5/7/3/3 on my IT7 at 2.8 V

On AT7 it can go fastest settings over 200

You can take the alu of, an put some cobberheatsink with eproxy-silver on. Then it can go 228 cas 2.5/6/2/3 at 2.9V

Sometimes I bench, to follow OPP then It goes 230-232. But after 10-15 min it becomes unstable (to hot)

Corsair3200 v 2.1 don't like so high volt as the old Corsair3200 v 1.1

Hey guys...you really do belive that GEIL Memory can do this.....If you do believe it then go and buy it....
This is a 512Mb Corsair XMS3200 C2 at 253MHz(506MHz DDR) with Cas 2,5 - 2 - 3 -7 T2....

Ahh you guys seem to know alot, Just a question which memory will do 200 Mhz/ 400 FSB at cl 2.0-2-2 t1 and should I get 512 mb in one stick or 2X 256 mb for that FSB? Right now I'm going to buy it and stick it in my dragon + but for the future investment in a few weeks if the MB guys get off their a**es, xp 2600 at 2200 mhz @ 200/400mhz fsb with a nice little pci/6 divider just need a board where /6 works! Let me know ok

What about the geil 3500 Platinum?
It's rated 4.5 ns and pc 3500 with that I should be able to at least reach cl 2.0 -3-3 t1cmd. @ 200/400 fsb
These chips are rated 2.6 to 3V and right now before I upgrade to my new bed which won't be until these guys get off their butts with the /6 multiplier and a good kt 400 baord coming out, will this memory work at 2.48 V 133 to 150 Mhz CL 2.0-2-2 t1 on my soyo dragon plus? also One more question one 512 mb stick or two 256 mb sticks that is here the question(s).
Thanks

The maximum Vmem can hold(I'm talking about Corsair XMS3200 C2 only),is about 3,4Vmem....I recoment the 3,2Vmem(after of caurse of a lot burn-in) to stabilize it and for falsefree working....
You can't give it more that 2.9Vmem or 2.8Vmem(depents on every Mobo) unlles you Mod your Mobo....
I do have special cooling of the ram cause I had almost 43C temp on the heatsinks of it.....

I just haven't tried yet ....I'll do it for you TODAY......I've run PCMark2002 at those speeds....Go and check it out at Madonion's Data base(Project search and compare)....and IF I had a better VGA Card then the memory bench score of PCMark2000's would be MUCH BETTER cause this "stupid" benchie , ADDS the VGA score as well in it.....

UPDATED INFO...

I've done today a bench of 3DMark2001 with my memory 512Mb Corsair XMS3200 C2 at Cas 2,5 - 2 - 3 - 7 T2 and 250MHz(500MHz DDR)(couldn't do it at Cas 2-2-3-7).....with my poor GeForce4 440MX(not interested for something better than that cause I just don't play games)....at 188 MHz fsb and at 3571MHz
You can go HERE (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4540677) to check it out if you wish....Also now I'am at the TOP of 3DMark's score with the GeForce4 440MX in it's Data base....You can go at Project Search and Compare (http://service.madonion.com/servlet/Index?pageid=/orb/projectsearch) and you'll just see it(Select the GeForce4 440MX one).....The third score is also mine but with memory at about 241MHz(482MHz DDR) with Cas 2 - 2 - 3 - 7 T2......not much of a difference...

Now.....a friend of mine,Vaios, brought me a few days ago an ATI Radeon 9700 he just bought to test it.....but he took it back....He'll bring it to me next week(I hope) and WE'LL SEE what this VGA can do....

P.S. Thanks BTBJP for reminding me to bench at 250MHz(500MHz DDR)....Now I'm at the TOP of the 3DMark Data base for GeForce4 440MX..... :D :toast:

Hello guys...:)

I'm planning on getting some memory, a 512MB stick. I have decided I want a XMS3200 stick, but wich one?? I saw listed at newegg several models but I don't know wich is the best one. The platinum heatspreaders sticks are only rev1.1. The rev2.1 has black HS. Wich one is better?

TIA.

/EDIT: of course is not for the mobo at my current sig :D

well...wait for others to answer also...but from what I've read in this and other posts..the v1.1 will handle higher volts. Since my KX7 has the memory volt mod, I was happy to get this version. I have not have time to try it yet and am waiting for my G4 to get back from RMA. What about it guys..is this correct?

btw....my v1.1 has black spreaders but it is clearly marked v1.1

I found this review of "performance memory" using, if I am right -7ns geil chips. I could not bable-fish it so I am not exactly sure what it says but the sandra results look good. I have attached a photoshop modified crop of the ram to get a better look at the chips.
http://www.hardware-test.dk/test_show.asp?id=1066

The http://www.performancememory.dk/ link shows it as just re-marked geil.

Jep that seems to be true, but the 7ns chip is on the PC3200 geil, that is rated as slow ass PC3200. If you tjek the specs and benches for the PC3500 performance mem, you see som mad benchies!:D

I am burning one of the new xms3500's in right now (on an AT7-Max2), but prior to burn in, it really was just about the same as my Twinmos 3200 with the same -5's. It didn't want to do 1T at even 196fsb at 2-2-6-2 at 2.8v, where the T-mos and for that matter the xms3200 platinum would do in low 200,s after burn-in, so I'll see how it improves after the burn before judgement.

Well ,dunno if this helps or not,but my PC3000 cas 2 XMS will do 480 cas 2.5 at default voltage ,but if I up the voltage it will not even do 200 without crashes and BSOD's,so mine does not like voltage at all.

But mine will do 450 cas 2 fairly stable, but my chip will only do 220 fsb,so to test higher memory speed I have to run the 333 chipset at 133/166 instead of 166/166.
