UT2003 benchmark

Although this is a 3dmark2001 forum I was wondering whether anyone had done the UT2003 becnhcmark and what their score was at 1024 x 768 ?

It seems to be quite nice in that the flyby is more video card dependant whereas the botmatch is more cpu limited.

My score was a lowly 129 and 47 respectively, but then I only get 10500 in 3Dmark

Mind sharing where you can get the UT2003 Bench? I for one am not that much into it. Just cant afford the 300 some odd dollar cards, but still like to see what I can do. And of couse I really like to see some kickin graphics on my "POS" system.

I checked out the benchmark,

I scored like 215 flyby and 78 botmatch @ 1024x768
285 flyby and 78 botmatch @ 640x480
170 flyby and 78 botmatch @ 1600x1200

Kinda makes me wonder how people with less CPU/video post higher botmatch scores over on MO website.

run this program c:\ut2003\system\benchmark.exe

If you installed ut2003 on a different drive change the drive letter from above example.

This program will give you the option to change the resolution it is run at. Also there is a way to change from default d3d to opengl. I have not done this yet as it run so fricken nice now. It is a bummer that the nvidia logo is at the start but it damn sure looks better on the ATI currently.

Yeah but 3dmark looks cooler and is more involving what with changing clock frequencies and what have you. heh I dunno, they should've made the demos more intensive rather than just flying around... like they shoulda had in your face action, and a bit shorter and I would enjoy running it more than I do now. Well, I don't enjoy running the UT bench at all :P

Fuggers point on people getting higher scores does raise the issue that it has bugs that need ironing out. I did see one guy with a score of 1378 in botmatch but obviously did not take it seriously as he got about 100 in flyby.

I must say I don't prefer it to 3dmark but I do prefer it to 3dmark which hangs at dragothic, if you see what I mean.

On my XP1600+, Ti4400, 256mb ram system (no OC right now) I got:

Flyby: 155.45
Botmatch: 57.83

at 1024x768. Gotta get the cooling worked out in the new case and then do it again......
