radeon 8500 score

aight, to give a little background.

Gigabyte 8iexp
2.26 @2.9 - 172fsb
256 Geil 3500 2-2-5-2
gigabyte radeon 8500LE

I clocked it to 290 cpu and mem and will try to push higher. I looked through that little guide at the top and did most of the things. now with all that said and done I'm capping at 8340..... this seems really low. I try to do most things myself, but I'm really disapointed in this score. any advice?

You should probably be getting higher than that....

Did you try lowering the LOD? In the drivers that is changing the "Best Quality" thing to "Best Performance."

Hey bud,

I have the same vid card as you, and I find its pretty lame in 3dmark. I have heatsinks on the ram and if you turn up the memory clock a notch you will get your score up to aprox 9k maby a touch higher. Nice o/c on the 2.26, but that dont help much in 3dmark.

get a 9700 radeon and we have a different story.

just fell in love with a ZX7r bike so the radeon will have to wait a few..... I'm installing a new motherboard, going to retune, install XP, and see what I can do again.

yes that is quite a low score for that processor and such....im running a 1900+ when i bench i put it to 144FSB and i got 9257 im not running the exact same card but it is a 8500le:) sorry to hear about ur score :(
