Hey guys please help.

I have a Levicom X-Alien 500w PSU, and want to mod the 3.3v rail, but dont know how, cause there is no vsense coming from the PSU to the ATX-Connector. Cant seem to find it in the PSU either.

?????

Well you need the 3.3v sense wire in order to do the mod. The whole idea of the mod is to trick the sensor into thinking the 3.3v rails isn't getting enough juice, therefore the psu will feed more voltage to that line. There's gotta be a thin brown or orange wire attached to the regular orange wire from the ATX connector.

No sensor wire, no vmod :(

I just did a 3.3v mod on a pos Austin 450w. 10k vr pot right to the only sensor wire and bam got the 3.3v rail up from 3.18v to 3.50v.

What is best for the system:

An old Chieftech 360w moddet on the 5+ 3.3+ and 12+

Or a Levicom 500w with poo rails?

It's for my backup pc
a64 3200+, 9800xt, 2 SATA, 1 DVD-R

I'd go with the cheiftech, 360w is probably cutting it close, but it should be ok. The 500w might be in reality    :banana:tier then the 360w and just die, plus low rails suck.

maybe I should connect the 2 PSU's so that the Chieftech supplies the mobo with high 3.3v 5v 12v rails and the Levicom runs my HDD, GFX and DVD-R

Sounds ok, I might opt to run the graphics card off the 360 if it has good rails though.
