Could someone recommend a good 512mb stick of memory that can do roughly 240mhz (CAS 2.5,3,3,7 or 2.5,4,4,8) on an Asus K8V deluxe motherboard? Even CAS 3 if necessary. I was thinking about a stick of Corsair 512mb LL or something from OCZ? If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in. Thanks.

yeah im kind've curious myself, cuz from what ive read theres only been bad results with 512mb sticks in a64 boards, but maybe thats only with the nf3 150 chipset... good luck bro.

Good point r3born. Would it be better to go with 2x256 then?

I sold my HyperX (it topped out at about 225) and I'm looking for something that'll go higher. My chip can do 2200mhz (A64 3000+) at stock voltage with the stock cooler. So I'm sure I can get upwards of 2400mhjz or so with maybe 1.7 volts.

BTW...it ran 2250 with 1.525v.

the problem with your setup is gonna be the ATI card. With the KT800 chipsets, the AGP bus is unlocked, so the AGP frequency changes with the FSB, and since the ATI cards are touchy as hell, you cant get very far when the frequency changes.

I just went from an AIW 9600 Pro to a 9700 AIW Pro. I'm hoping that the 9700 will have a bit more room for overclocking. I'm just counting the days that I can go out and get a board with an AGP/PCI lock!
