i need help plz-trimmer ?

hello.i am confused here.i have attached 2 pictures here.in the one pic they show the wire running from the sense line to the outside leg nearest to the dial to adjust voltage.
yet in the other pic they show the ground wire running from,the outside leg closest to the dial.
which is the proper method.

It's the same. With trimmers (actualy any resistor) there isn't just one "right" way to connect the wires. Only thing you need to keep in mind is that the middle leg must be used.
