Check if your powersupply matches another guide inline, many companys rebadge PSUs. Otherwise i think some electronic whizz can help you

Yea, you can do the 2 sense line mods on it. I've done them and they work fairly well. My only beef is that the 3.3v line "jumps" from 3.47 to 3.6 leaving no numbers in between. I did the mod the way suggested in the "Antec trupower 430w any way to mod this?" thread.

Do a search in the "eXtreme mods" section under Antec 430w mods.

Clicky, Clicky (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14059)

edit:
fixed broken link due to xtreme problems:D

edit2:
fixed again...

antec smartpower have a +5/12v VR and a +3.3v VR inside, so no mods are needed ;)

You sure about that? mine didn't seem to have any pots inside...

i see now there is SL400, and probably SL400 haven't... i have older model, don't remember right now the code, like PP413X or something similar and this have 2 pots inside..

Antec Smartpower PP-412XF: 2 pots inside, blue square ones, but these are very sensitive. Be careful.

The 5V/12V one is on one open side (when antec is opened up) - iirc the left side when looking from the fan side, the 3,3V one is hidden under the stream of wires where they lead out of the psu...

But this PSU has a crappy OVP if you ask me :(

If you have another type of the antec then you'll definately have to do the sense line mod... with fixed resistor of 10ohms and a pot to ground.

Yeah. Got a problem. That's why I changed over to the TC550 last year. (on rma now, dying fan control) :(

I never got the 3,3V line over 3,5-6V stable without sudden shutdowns... the comp would not turn back on till all voltage had left the caps in the psu. I could attach a DMM and watch the very slow decrease of the voltages. It took at least 3minutes, sometimes up to 10min to get the pc working again. And it was def not good for my prom

With a high 5/12V line it showed similar behavior :(

I got the same thing with mine. Anything above 3.45 or so would need a discharge.

Also, I would be wary of going anywhere above 3.6v on the 3.3v line with this thing. Either it or my IC7 bit the dust tonight when I did :( The fans spin up, but nobodies home. If anyones got suggestions I'd love to here em, as I havn't realy got the money to replace this thing atm.

EDIT: forget what I said about frying the IC7, it still works, but it needed something like 12 hours to 'discharge' before it would boot again.

I'm hoping you just forgot to read my post...
On another note my psu is no longer skipping from 3.47v to 3.6v after a while of running 3.44v+

You can quick-discharge by flipping the switch on the back for 30 seconds.

My 400w smartpower will go to 3.8v but it always drops back to 3.45v after ~2 mins.. :(

If you are referring to my post, I was adressing NesQuiK...

The voltage drops and cr*p ovp were the causes I turned over to a 550W TC. The 400W is stil running fine, but it cannot do higher than 3,55V at th 3,3V stable as well as 12V line is not able to stay at 12,6V... shuts the psu down sometimes. Just my :2cents:
