UT2k3 Demo

Man.... this demo is freak'n amazing. Its still rough around the edges, and they need to tweek a few things... but UT2k3 will be all we've been waiting for. The demo doesn't have the high-res textures, but the game still looks amazing. If you havn't given it a shot yet, i suggest you do. This game will be a hurter on the 'ol GPA. :)

Takes a little while to download all the parts, and I'm on cable... Feel sorry for the 56ker's, but it's well worth it.:p

I'm a hardcore ut player and must admit this is top class :) even if it did take hours on end to download (56k) well worth the wait.Btw try running it in 1600x1200 with 4xfsaa OUCH!!!

I downloaded it 2 days ago, it smokes hardcore on the R9700 at 1600x1200x32. very nicely done.

There is a benchmark program in the c:\ut2003\system directory.

i just did the botmatch-antalus, and got the following results printed to a text file in the benchmark folder:

0.940079 / 104.009880 / 314.154999 fps -- Score = 104.048103 rand[20551]

doesn't really mean much on its own, so what do other peole get?

I'm running at 1280x1024, all the details turned high (check out the extra settings via the 'preferences' command in console). Runs at around 60 fps on average on Asbestos and Antalus.

I've got a dedicated server up, happy to say it runs a bit better than its predecessor under FreeBSD.

Pre-ordered UT2003. 3 more days to go!

no no its in the system folder dude..ex. UT2k3->system->benchmark.:)

hhee. well, i would check that oout and go and do the proper one, but my RAID 0 array just went kaput. Dead as a dodo. 120GB of pure :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:. Quite a pain in the arse - i was so close to completing Mafia!

right, im back, and poota is working fine now. i think i have now done the right benchmark :)

results are:

Flyby: 188.85
Botmatch: 62.54
Resolution: 1024*768


so, what other peeps get? you done it twiggy?
