Annoyance #99999999.................

I'm attaching a screenie, of this annoyance, how to get rid of the yellow highlighted crap? run them, sometimes they go away, but then sometimes for no reason they comeback to... like to turn this crap off but where to do it ?

Right click the start button>Customize>Advanced>second box down.

Uhh, no ty, I have 2000, and prefer XP, only time I use 2K is on an AMD box.....

I really don't know how to get rid of that, there has to be an option somewhere.

1) right click properties on taskbar
2) click start menu tab
3) click customize tab
4) uncheck "highlight newly installed programs"
5) click ok, click apply, click ok and your done

Windows has something else like that too, called Customized Menus. It hides your start menu directories and favorites if you don't use em often enough. 10x more annoying.
