Right it arrived this morning
Unpacked and was well impressed to say the least! Its a fine bitta kit and looks soooo much better than the Maze 4!

This is a little bit of leak testing I did (ingeunity (sp!) or what!)

Installation was dead simple due to the bracket :)

Gonna make installation a breeze when want to whip the block off for some reason! You mount the mount to the motherboard and then the block on top ala

There's no fannying about with the mount from the Maze 4 with those long bolts falling through the back! Honestly its as easy as mounting a P4 heatsink!

Chucked it all back in my case and quick leak test :)

Looks fantastic with that mount looks serious bit of kit! allowed for neater tubing as well which I was suprised about!

Finally it all back together and running with UV dye and CCs :)

The good bit now :)

With same ambient this is 5c lower than the best I achieved with the Maze4 :)

With ambient lower I reckon even lower! This block is amazing performer :)

Highly recommended block and would suggest anyone looking for a decent block afresh or as an upgrade get this over the DD stuff :)

:toast: :smileysex this thing r0x :toast: :smileysex

How was the lap job on it? I've heard that some of the WWs from dtek needed more lapping to get true flatness out of them.

looks beautifull!

Kosmic - It was only a 600 grit job but I think the block was in 'touch better' condition than the Maze4 but not by much. It could do with a lap.

Saaya - Thank you very much :)

Dosn't the white water have a copper top?

Firelord-OCHW

The white water has either a poly or alu top :) I won't be chilling my rig so a poly top suffices and looks better imho :) the poly is well thick! Looks like you could stop a train with it!

Cheers JeffPH :)

I always thought the white water came with a copper top and the cascade came with the alu top or poly top?

Anyway ill check Cathars threads on the blocks and find out meself.

*Update*
Cascade - Comes in two types IIRC silver and copper if im right with the new Cascade xxx i think coming out for only certain people who are friends with cathar.

This is the D-Tek custom website for the LRWW here (http://www.dtekcustoms.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=108)

As you can see from the below picture it comes with a Poly or alu top :)

Here is a 'tech' diagram of the LRWW as well

Also here is the images from the store I got it from

Wish I could have got a cascade but this is as close as I'm gonna get!

Yea. I wonder if Cathar is going to resume Cascade production? Last I read a while back was that it was going to begin again in feb or march.

Well - 5 silver "finals" and a few copper prototypes (2 or 3).

With luck the first copper prototype will be ready on Monday.

LOL

Truth is I don't even know what they would cost yet. The money is somewhat unimportant to me.

Of the 5 silver.

2 for me
1 for a friend
1 for independent review - which should come back - and then...???
1 for auction
