Hi there, I'm new to Xtremesystems :) :toast:

I have a BD7-II and I'm very interested in getting a XMS3200C2 256MB stick. I only have 2.67V on this board to give it so I wonder how high I can expect. I want at least 225MHz cas2 :)

What do you reckon ? :)

Niko,

Welcome to Xtreme:toast:

As far as the Corsair I'm not to sure with that voltage. I do know that the highest I did on that mobo was 232 and this was with Mushkin, I'm sure yours will do the same but it won't be at Cas 2 I don't think.

I think with a little memory "burn-in" and at Cas 2-3-3-7 will go there....:)

Thanks Opp and hipro5 :)

hipro5, I've read the thread you posted on the Greek (if memory serves :p) forums about your Corsair OC. Very nice one :) I want that OC !!! :D

Btw, I checked Corsair's page and was suprized to find out that the XMS 3200 C2 uses 6ns ram !!!

Is it a typo ? :(

hipro5, you've taken the heatspreaders off that XMS3200C2, so does it use 5ns or 6ns ram ? Thanks :)

ok thanx hmm :/

So Corsair's been using 6ns mem from XMS2700 -> 3200 :p

My XMS2700 is doing 220, I have faith in Corsair so.......I think I'll go for it :p

Corsair XMS2700 and Corsair XMS3000 C2,5 rev.1,1 are using Samsung chips.....Mine(XMS2700 wich I had before this one)could do the one stick 256Mb , 238MHz(476MHz DDR) and the other 256Mb stick 231MHz(462MHz DDR)....Good sticks also...Samsung chips inside....:D

Have luck and when you first buy it, test it at what frequency it goes and emediatelly after that do a "burn-in" to it..... :toast:

XMS2700- 7/5NS chips
2700 plainum- 6NS winbond chips.
3000 1.1- Samsung 6NS chips (CTL\DTL)
3000 2.1- Winbond 6ns chips.
3200 C2.5 rev 1.1- Samsung 6NS chips (CTL\DTL).
3200 c2.5 rev 2.1- Winbond 6NS chips

The 3200C2 are great (The 6NS rev B chips oc's just like the 5NS). 220, 2-7-3-2, 2.8V on my IT7.
